Bringing Home Smiles……………

When I was told that I am the only person from Jodhpur who is a part of Udaan, I was a little tensed thinking if I would be able to conduct such a thing all by myself, but once I reached home and told my friends about this, they themselves volunteered to help me with such a good cause and complimented the efforts of IIT Guwahati. One of my batch-mate later joined us for the initiative. We organized Udaan on 17th and 18th December at Jodhpur.

We conducted many activities like Origami, Painting competition, showed them science and inspirational videos hoping they would incline towards science and study. We also showed them animated movies and short films which they really enjoyed. We distributed some books and clothes as well which we had collected from our friends and relatives. We made them dance, sing, act and everything they enjoyed.

Conducting Udaan was really an awesome experience. Seeing their cute smiles and spending such a memorable time with them was such a pleasure. Some of them were really talented and looking into their dreamful eyes; I just wished for one thing, “May all their dreams come true.” I never imagined that we could make them so happy that they would anticipate our arrival and wanted us to come back often !!!

Thanks Udaan for giving me this opportunity…………nd i wish to be its part even after passing out from IIT……..

Ever experienced the eternal bliss of small children laughing and sharing some really precious moments of their life wid u?? we were lucky enough to feel it, being a part of UDAAN..we had organized udaan in a pratham study center in Delhi on the 17th of December.

We organized origami for the kids followed by a drawing competition.. One thing that came to our mind was that there is a lot of hidden talent in our country which should be encouraged.. andpratham which is an ngo is doing a great job teaching the underprivileged children and also nurturing their talents..

After doing many other activities with the children we started off with tongue twisters.. nd i think i laughed so hard after a pretty long time.. the innocence of the kids reflected in their behaviour..we ended by taking their hand prints and clicking pictures. i am happy i could be a part of it and hope to organize udaan every year with many other such lovely kids..

Udaan it rightly says giving flights to hope.. :)
